Bank Holiday: A Family Wedding

Hi All!!

It's been a while since I posted here, I 've had a few things to sort out but hopefully I will be getting back into the swing of things now. I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend? I had two weddings to attend and this is the first of two post's about them.

On Saturday I attended my cousin's wedding and here is what I wore....

Dress: Lipsy
Jacket: Primark

And instead of a fascinator I wore this bow I bought from Miss Selfridge for only £1....

My cousin's who was the Bride decided on purple as the theme colour as you can see by her flowers and the Father of the Bride's suit.....

It was a lovely day and I was so happy to see her wed, she is the first grandchild to get married so it goes to show how we're all growing up now! There are a few other photo's for me to add here but my laptop has decided to play up again so I will add them soon.

Olympic Style: Gold, Silver and Bronze

Hi All!!

So it has been almost a week since the Olympics ended and I have to say I am well and truly missing it. Before it started I was not really interested in watching it but I got hooked on almost the very first day and then watched it everyday once I got home from work, or all day on the weekends if I wasn't busy.

I was really sad to see those two weeks fly by so fast and I think Team GB did us proud - oh and I have to praise Team Jamrock too (as part of my heritage is Jamaican) I cheered on both teams...I reckon I leaned towards GB more though when I could haha!

Since the Olympics have finished and the Para Olympics are due to start I thought I would do a post with them both in mind for some inspiration. Instead of doing a 'Go Team GB Go' post with the Union Jack as inspiration like I did for the Queens Jubilee, I thought I would post some Gold, Silver and Bronze inspirational items.

Take a peek at these....

Gold

Silver

Bronze

All items are currently on sale at  www.asos.com which also has a 50% off selected items sale. So if you fancy wearing the gold, silver or bronze in celebration of the Olympics and Para Olympics then I hope this post is of some help to you.

Website: Huxton

Hi All!!

In need of a new clothing website? Interested in finding something different to add to your wardrobe? Well look no further then Huxton. A fairly new brand founded by two ladies; Joanna Lingham and Rebecca Pikard and they have set out to make unique pieces available for the general public.

As the website states:

"The Huxton collection is designed for women who love to express their personality through their style and who have the courage to wear something eye-catching and bold. Huxton is ‘Fashion for Free Living’ and the Huxton woman does not conform, she is strong, indepedent and she dares to live life on her own terms.
All of our designs are produced in limited quantities of between 20 and 50 units, the garments really are unique pieces and we pride ourselves on this. We constantly add new designs to the collections as we want you to have something new to choose from every month."

Take a peek at my favourite items from the site...

My favourite is the maxi dress...very lush I would love to own that!! What do you like?

Events: Sky Ride Birmingham

Hi All!!

Got nothing to do this weekend? If you like keeping fit, own a bicycle and live in Birmingham then please read on because the Sky Ride event will be taking place this weekend on Sunday 19th August!

About the event

It's a great opportunity to experience some of your city's iconic landmarks and green spaces in a very special atmosphere. There’s no official start point or start time, and you can ride as much or as little of the route as you like, and stop as many times as you want. Most people join in at one of the activation points along the route, where you’ll also find plenty of fun things to do whether you’re on a bike or not. There’s no official start point or start time, and you can ride as much or as little of the route as you like, and stop as many times as you want. Trends: Snapbacks

Hi All!

It is by no means a recent trend when it comes to other people; but for me it is a trend that I have loved for a long time but never had the courage to attempt. Well now I am and I love it....

Snapbacks are great to add to any casual outfit such as leggings and pumps or high tops. This one is from Birmingham market, you know me I'll find a bargain anywhere. I don't think paying £35/40 on a cap is for me when I know I can get similar caps for around £5 upwards at the local market! This is why I now own three of them!

Are you liking snapbacks?
